Sathya Janardhanan Rise Therapeutics

Sathya Janardhanan serves as the VP of Development & Manufacturing at Rise Therapeutics in Rockville, MD. In this capacity, he manages the CMC development, clinical manufacturing and quality at Rise Therapeutics, leading a team of engineers and scientists the areas of process development, GMP Manufacturing, analytical development, quality systems, and a state-of-the-art microbiome product manufacturing facility. Previously, Sathya founded and managed a Process Analytical Technology equipment and consulting company, operating out of the US and India. In this role, Sathya aided companies in conceptualizing and implementing new production methodologies for biologics manufacturing. Prior to this role, Sathya held scientist and engineering roles in Development, Manufacturing, Quality and Research division of biotech companies such as NextCure, AstraZeneca and Amplimmune in the United States. Sathya Janardhanan has a specialization in the development of complex products, including live microbial therapeutics and traditional therapeutics such as antibodies and fusion proteins. Sathya Janardhanan possesses a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of Maryland College Park.
