Afshin Sohrabi, PhD Merck KGaA

Dr. Afshin Sohrabi joined Merck KGaA in 2014 and currently serves as the Director of R&D for Contract Testing Services focusing on BioReliance® services; he is responsible for driving disruptive innovation by introducing new rapid technologies for biosafety services. Before joining the organization, Afshin built an extensive biotechnology career in molecular and cell biology, immunology, and bioengineering. His over two decades of experience includes research and development of novel technology platforms and brining the new technologies to an operational readiness level in cGMP and ISO regulated environments.
