Akshay Kamdar Eli Lilly and Company

Akshay Kamdar received his doctorate in Polymer Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. In 2009, he joined the Packaging Development organization at Eli Lilly and Company. Since joining Lilly, he led the efforts to develop and establish the testing capabilities for the prefilled syringe (PFS) platform through collaborations with component suppliers, CMOs and internal manufacturing. He has provided leadership for container closure development from concept all the way through commercialization. He is currently serving as the syringe platform team leader and Systems Engineer in the Delivery and Device R&D organization and provides technical leadership and guidance for development of the syringe platform through design, development and qualification of container closure systems as a combination product.
