Allen started his career out as an immunologist at Johns Hopkins and in 1985 joined Baxter to manage a joint venture in Yugoslavia manufacturing medical devices. In 1990 he relocated to Belgium and advanced through a series of roles leading to European Director of Supply Chain for Baxter’s Bioscience division.  In 2002 Allen joined Wyeth as Senior Director of BioPharma Supply Chain and in 2008 that role expanded to all of Pharmaceuticals. In 2010 he assumed the role of Vice President of Network Planning for Pfizer and leads a team that is responsible for the production and capacity planning for Pfizer’s manufacturing network, meeting Pfizer’s global customer requirements, and issue identification and mitigation via S&OP processes.

Allen received his degree in Microbiology from the University of Maryland and did graduate work and research at Johns Hopkins.
