Amy L. Blubaugh SCA Pharma

Amy Blubaugh is the Microbiology Manager at SCA Pharma, a 503B sterile compounding facility located in Little Rock, AR. She has been with the company for 3.5 years overseeing in-house microbiological testing including sterility, endotoxin, bioburden, and environmental/personnel monitoring for the site. Over her time at SCA Pharma, she has been able to grow her knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiology and continues to learn more each day. She especially enjoys using her investigational and problem-solving skills to determine root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions. Before working in the pharmaceutical industry, she worked in and supervised human clinical and veterinary diagnostic microbiology laboratories for a total of 10 years. These laboratory settings offered her a variety of microbiological skills and regulatory experiences that she has been able to use in her role as Microbiology Manager at SCA Pharma.
