Andrea Liess Karlsson Boehringer Ingelheim

Andrea Liess Karlsson is a accomplished global leader with more than 20 years’ experience working in Pharma and Biotech in different roles on both the consulting and owner side. In her current role as responsible for the Engineering and Technology department at Boehringer Ingelheim’s Biotech CMO manufacturing site in Fremont, she is deeply involved in successful client partnerships and collaboration across the product lifecycle. Expertise areas include drug product technologies, project, program and engineering management, stakeholder management and strategic planning. Andrea thrives in the interface between technology and business success where she transforms teams and organizations to deliver results based on strategic planning, relationships, and collaboration. She strongly believes that business success is all about motivated people, strong partnerships, focus and a purpose. Andrea earned her MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Delivering products to patients is the driving force that makes her come to work every day.
