Arundhati Samanta, MA, MBA Mettler Toledo

Arundhati Samanta is the Global Product Manager for Mettler Toledo Microbial Detection Analyzer since 2019. Prior to Mettler Toledo she has been a Global Product Manager for Cryogenic Tubes in Thermo Fisher Scientific for several years. She has also worked as Product Manager in different Medical Device companies in the last 12 years starting with Conmed Corp., Smiths Medical and Werfen-Instrumentation Laboratories.

She has a MBA from Babson Olin School of Management in MA, USA. Master Degree in Comparative Literature form Jadavpur University, India and an Undergrad with English Major form Calcutta University, India.

In her current role she has been been working very closely with global pharmaceutical customers in understanding their need to monitor their water loops and reduce cost without compromising quality. She tries to help them see the benefits of the Laser-based technology of the Rapid Microbial analyzer which enables immediate detection and quantification of microorganisms in the water directly from the water sample, overcoming limitations of time-consuming growth-based methods. She also works with the industry leaders to get Rapid Microbial Detection technology better understood and accepted in the pharmaceutical world of water analytics.
