Berwald Gomes Roche

Berwald Gomes joined Roche Diagnostics GmbH in 2016 and has held roles with increasing responsibility. He has been working in his current role in the Engineering, Science, and Technology (E,S & T) department at Roche Mannheim, Germany, since 2022 and has significantly contributed to the implementation and optimization of visual inspection systems and machines in drug product manufacturing. In his role, Berwald Gomes is also involved in global expert teams for AIM/AVI and related pharma technology, as well as acting as a Subject Matter Expert in prototype projects. He strives to improve process visual inspection and the efficiency of inspection machines used in the Roche network across multiple sites. As part of the "Automation Vision" Team, he is also actively involved in product transfers and implementing product qualification for automated inspection machines.
