Brian Thome PhD Biogen

Brian Thome is a process engineer who has worked across the fill finish spectrum over his fourteen year career in the biopharma industry including formulations, lyophilization, process development, analytics and technology transfer. The last fifteen years have been spent at Biogen where he has led tech parenteral drug product technology transfers to external manufacturing partners as part of the launch of three commercial products. Most recently he has worked on Sterilizing Filtration best practices including PUPSIT/QRM as part of the BioPhorum/PDA collaboration and he is part of the group currently revising PDA Tech Report 26. Brian is from Seattle, Washington, USA and currently lives in Zürich, Switzerland. He received his doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University.
