Cenk Undey Amgen

Dr. Undey is an Executive Director of Process Development at Amgen, Inc., based in the headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA, USA. He joined Amgen in 2003 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in Process Development which included providing manufacturing support and continuous improvement of commercial products such as Enbrel® and Prolia® , technology transfers of multiple molecules, introduced advanced process analytics and remote support technologies in Operations.

He is leading the Digital Integration and Predictive Technologies business unit in Process Development advancing Intelligent Predictive Technologies targeted to improve process and product understanding, process optimization, reduce process development cycle time hence increasing speed to market with reduced development cost.

Prior to joining Amgen, he was at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Dept. of Chemical and Biological Engineering in Chicago, IL as a Sr. Postdoctoral Researcher. He has co-authored and co-edited two books, and has many publication in scientific journals and books in the areas of process systems engineering, biotechnology and bioengineering. Cenk received his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees all in Chemical Engineering from Istanbul University, Turkey. He also has an Executive MBA degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, Anderson School of Management.
