Hauke Fender PhD BioNTech Innovation and Services Marburg GmbH

Dr. Hauke Fender studied pharmacy at the Philipps-Universität Marburg, where he obtained his licence to practice pharmacy. He subsequently completed his doctorate at the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology in the field of basic research in cardiology. He has been working in quality assurance at BioNTech Marburg since 2022. Initially as a specialist in operational QA in mRNA production and subsequently in the field of aseptics as an QA Expert, where he helped to establish the new aseptic process in accordance with regulatory requirements (Annex 1). Since then, he has been involved in the process and is jointly responsible for quality risk management processes, the design of aseptic process simulations and the contamination control strategy at the site and for the process.
