Jaby Jacob, PhD Kemwell Biopharma

Dr. Jaby Jacob is the head of the biologics Process Development group at the contract development and manufacturing organization Kemwell Biopharma based in Bangalore, India. His group is responsible for process development & scale-up and technology transfer of biopharmaceuticals from clients to Kemwell.

Prior to joining Kemwell, Jaby worked in the analytical and formulation development groups at Amgen, USA (2004 – 2008) and in the process development group at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Hyderabad, India (2008 – 2013).

Jaby obtained his Ph.D from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India and received post-doctoral training at the University of Maryland, College Park and University of Chicago, Chicago. He has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
