James E. Webb, PhD Corning Incorporated

James Webb, Product Performance and Reliability Manager for Corning Pharmaceutical Technologies, has over 25 years of experience in the area of glass mechanical behavior, fracture mechanics, and product reliability in both research and development at Corning’s Sullivan Park Research and Development Facility. He currently leads the understanding of performance and reliability of parenteral glass packaging. James earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, his M.S. in Materials Science from the University of Washington, Seattle, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles and has 6 granted patents.
