Jan Pollmann, PhD Roche

Jan Pollmann holds a degree in chemistry from the university of Münster, Germany. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Mainz at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry through a joined project with the University of Colorado at Boulder, USA.

After a post-doctoral appointment at the Max Planck Institute, he was a scientist with Roche Pharma Research responsible for method development and automation. In 2012 Jan joined commercial QC at Roche leading a DS release testing laboratory for large molecules. In 2015, Jan transitioned into the Analytical Technology Leader role for several products which became a full-time appointment in 2018. In this role he successfully supported the launch of Gazyva, conducted several DS and DP transfers for his products and is currently focusing on the Control System Update of his products using the Roche standardized Control System Lifecycle Management approach.
