Katie Masterson, MS Regenxbio

Katie Masterson is currently the Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations at Regenxbio, where she has recently led the start-up of the new state-of-the-art gene therapy BDS Manufacturing facility in Rockville, Maryland. Early in her career she established a 'CSI Investigation team,' that led the systematic investigation and root cause analysis of major deviations, which led to improved manufacturing success rates. With that experience she developed a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement to drive efficiency and success. As the Manager of the Manufacturing Training team at GSK Biopharm, she implemented a new hire program, that streamlined on-boarding of over 100 Manufacturing Operators and provided them with the foundational knowledge and skills for success. She believes that people are the biggest asset of an organization and strives each day to ensure the team has what they need to succeed. She has a Masters in BioScience Regulatory Affairs from John's Hopkins. Katie lives in Herndon, VA with her husband and two kids. In her spare time she loves to travel and entertain family and friends.
