Lauren Drage, PhD GSK

Lauren is a development scientist in the Analytical Department of Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) at GSK. Her background is of molecular biology, microbiology and immunology, and she received her PhD at Newcastle University.

Main areas of expertise lie in the translational application of lab-based methods, such as PCR and immunological assays.

Lauren is currently working on alternative methods of rapid sterility testing, conducting a comparability study for GSK for an IUK funded cell & gene therapy rapid sterility project for two new PCR-based platforms in collaboration with CGT Catapult and LGC.
