Lindsey Silva, PhD Genentech

Dr. Lindsey Silva is a Technical Development Scientist in Process Virology at Genentech, a Member of the Roche Group. In her current position, Dr. Silva is responsible for the design and execution of virus clearance studies to support the viral safety of CHO-derived biologics from phase I clinical trials through marketed application licensure. Previously, Dr. Silva supported the viral safety of plasma-derived biologics as a Principal Scientist at Grifols Biologics Inc.

Dr. Silva is a molecular virologist by training, including 2 first-author, 3 co-author, and 2 review publications. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from UC Irvine and her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Silva conducted her post-doctoral work at USC Keck School of Medicine.
