Nicole King, MBA AstraZeneca

Nicole King is an Associate Director within Global Operations at AstraZeneca and responsible for the transformation of training. In Nicole’s current role, she is leading a Pilot Program of her ‘GETUP’ (GmP Education & Training Uplift Project) initiative. At it's core, GETUP aims to remove (‘Read & Signs') from training plans and instead, replace them with a hands-on competency-based model that is modularized and assigned in a just-in-time manner. Documents needed will now be provided at time of use and available in multiple modalities, allowing for an approach that is effective and efficient for all learning types as well as those with learning disabilities. Previously, Nicole was in Aerospace (Missile Defense) as the Region’s Lead Auditor where she partnered to completely re-write their QMS which resulted in a drastic rationalization & reduction in documents and implemented the same training transformation that is targeted via GETUP. She has an MBA in Executive Leadership and completed Toyota’s Lean Training (Toyota’s Signature Program).  Nicole also has a love of Regulations and Requirements. Nicole lives in Maryland with her husband, two daughters, and puppy. When not obsessing over Training & Regulations, she enjoys Poker, knitting, and reading.
