Nicole Paland Dr. rer. nat. Minerva Biolabs Head of Product Development
Dr. Nicole Paland studied biochemistry at University of Potsdam in Germany and molecular biology at the University College London. She earned her doctorate in Cell Biology at Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology and the Humboldt-University in Berlin investigating microbes-host cell interactions of obligate intracellular bacteria. As a postdoc at the renowned Weizmann Institute of Science and at the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in Israel, she studied the importance of the microenvironment of human cells and the influence of immunological messengers on the initiation and progression of different diseases such as cancer and multifactorial metabolic disorders. In 2021, Dr. Paland joined Minerva Biolabs as project manager responsible for the development of alternative pyrogen detection kits based on nucleic acid amplification technology. Since 2022 she is appointed as Head of Product Development and currently leads a team of project leaders and technicians.
