Oliver K. Valet, PhD mibiC GmbH & Co. KG

Oliver is a physical chemist by training and a passionate serial entrepreneur. After his Ph.D. in the field of Nanotechnology and Electrochemistry at the Free University of Berlin, he co-founded rap.ID. There he shaped and sold over 20 years several Raman, LIBS, and Interferometry instruments. The particle identification tools helped forensic investigations and ensured the quality of respiratory and nasal formulations, biopharmaceuticals, pre-filled syringes as well as combustion engines, and other complex high-tech products vulnerable to particulate matter. Oliver gained a deep understanding of cGMP including method development and validation by co-operating the two FDA-registered and inspected laboratories in the Berlin HQ and in Princeton NJ USA. In 2018, rap.ID was successfully sold to unchained labs. In the same year, Oliver co-founded mibiC where he is shaping the Raman & Epi-fluorescence GramRay platform of automated single-cell microbiology for several applications such as bioburden monitoring, rapid sterility testing and ultra-fast detection of spoilage as well as manufacturing process first responder microbes detection and ID.
