Ruby Gulati, MBA

Ruby Gulati, an independent consultant, was Head, Supplier Collaborations and Quality Management, Global Supplier Quality at Roche-Genentech, where she oversaw the improvement of supplied raw materials, primary and secondary packaging components. She has spent more than 35 years working within large Pharma (Syntex, Hoffmann-La Roche, Novo Nordisk, and Genentech) in managing quality for supplied materials, drug product and drug delivery system development and commercialization. She obtained a BS in Microbiology from San Jose State University, and later her MBA from University of Phoenix. Through her career to date she has been heavily involved in managing quality aspects for novel drug products and novel drug delivery systems development. At Roche-Genentech she has built Quality organizations, established strategic direction for proactively working with suppliers to improve the quality of materials supplied via Zero Defect Initiative. She also provided strategic direction for innovative combination product quality systems combining all elements of pharmaceutical regulations (210/211), device regulations (820), and ISO standards (9001/13485).
