Samuel drives the implementation of alternative technology such as X rays to supplement the gamma irradiation, as Principal Scientist Materials & Irradiations. He is taking global responsibility as Subject Matter Expert for materials & irradiations to highlight and understand the physico-chemical phenomena occurring in plastic single use systems after ionizing irradiation (gamma – Ebeam – X-rays), and on corresponding co-authored articles. Samuel is co-chair and/or core member of industry groups such as BPSA, BioPhorum, Panel of Irradiation, ASTM E61, Team Nablo on workstreams aiming at understanding and promoting the implementation of X-rays as alternative sterilization technology, as well in link with regulatory bodies.
