Walter Kalmans Lontra Ventures, LLC

Walter has over 20 years of experience working in commercial operations for life science companies. For the past 8 years, he has consulted to global pharmaceutical and medical device companies focusing on growth. In addition to serving clients, Walter speaks at industry conferences, has been quoted in numerous publications, and has testified before a Congressional subcommittee on health policy issues.

Prior to founding Lontra Ventures in 2008, Walter was Vice President, Business Development for Oncology Therapeutics Network (OTN), a subsidiary of McKesson Corporation. Prior to OTN, Walter held senior positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Becton Dickinson & Company, and earlier in his career was a healthcare management consultant for Booz & Co. and Accenture.

Walter earned a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School, and B.A. in Biology from The College of Arts & Sciences, both at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds an MBA from Duke University where he graduated as a JB Fuqua Scholar.
