Join us on a journey, from the components of a syringe to the customer needs of a pre-filled syringe system.

This two-day interactive course is mainly suited for individuals new in the PFS environment or to refresh dated knowledge. Understanding the specifics of materials like glass, special polymers and elastomers is key for a successful finished PFS drug product. The speakers give guidance into the complex interdependencies of PFS as both primary packaging and medical device.

Fill&Finish necessities will be trained in detail. Next to relevant practical aspects and trends of developing and processing of pre-filled syringes, the course will also address basics in regulatory requirements related to materials, components and processes of pre-filled syringes. Special focus is given to the performance and pharmaceutical requirements, user requirements will be touched.

In hands-on sessions, participants will study pieces of equipment such as syringes, stoppers, needle shields and tip caps in detail. Processing steps, inspection and quality aspects will be demonstrated. Discussions of real case examples and Q&A sessions will complement the course.

  • Are able to develop a syringe system that fits the needs of a dedicated application
  • Are able to compare different syringe types with regard to their advantages and disadvantages

By Air From Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP): The hotel is about 20 km away. A taxi will take about 20 minutes, or you can take the C1 train from the airport to the Carvajal station, which is a 5-minute taxi ride or 15-minute walk to the hotel.
By Car The hotel is easily accessible from the AP-7 highway. Use GPS with the address Av. del Higuerón, 48. Parking is available at the hotel.
