The PDA Metro Chapter invites you to an informative evening event focused on Microbial Contamination and Non-Sterile Products. This presentation will provide a comprehensive overview of global regulatory and pharmacopoeial expectations for microbial control in non-sterile products. It will highlight the primary sources of contamination and identify effective strategies and practices to help prevent it. The discussion will also cover the use of ‘active measures’ to prevent contamination, along with examples of how these measures can be implemented.
About the Speaker: James Agalloco
James Agalloco is the President of Agalloco & Associates, a consulting firm serving the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He has previously worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pfizer, and Merck. Jim holds a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering, as well as an MBA in Pharmaceutical Studies. He has served as the President of PDA and was a member of USP’s Microbiology Expert Committee. Jim is also a frequent author and lecturer on topics such as sterilization, aseptic processing, and process validation.
