Sustainability Interest Group

Purpose

The primary purpose of the Sustainability Interest Group is educational outreach to enhance knowledge and understanding of the key principles of sustainability, with a focus on themes relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, such as carbon footprint reduction, waste management, and water conservation. The long-term goal is to bridge the gap between rapid advancements in sustainability practices and the traditionally cautious, risk-averse nature of the pharmaceutical industry. A main goal is facilitating the integration of innovative sustainability solutions within the industry and serving as a trusted interface between PDA members and health authorities. By fostering a collaborative environment, the Sustainability Interest Group aspires to drive meaningful progress and inspire a culture of sustainability within the PDA and among its members. This group and all other PDA Interest Groups are designed to spark information exchange, actionable solutions and networking among peers who have shared challenges and interests.
