This award recognizes the outreach and support I have personally provided to students and graduates to ensure their success. It also provides visibility of my work with students and teaches them industry basics at multiple Australian universities.

Industry recognition raises awareness for career advancements and creates partnership opportunities that could bridge the gap between academia and industry for better translational research. For example, we can translate our malaria vaccine research for equitable access to healthcare and alleviate the disease burden in vulnerable communities. I am inspired by helping to provide equitable healthcare for all and seeing the next generation of scientists succeed in their fields.
