Nidia Acevedo PhD Eli Lilly and Company

Nidia has a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Microbiology and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Puerto Rico. She also holds a Master and a PhD in Law from the Complutense University in Madrid. She began her career as a Consumer Safety Officer with the FDA and worked in the New York, Chicago and San Juan District Offices. She continued her career in the pharmaceutical industry progressively occupying leadership positions at various multinational companies. In 2005, Nidia began her practice as an Attorney, counseling clients from the pharmaceutical and medical device industry on a wide array of regulatory and legal matters. In 2010, she joined Amgen, Inc. She occupied various positions including Sr. Counsel responsible for providing legal advice on GxP matters and trade compliance to company global manufacturing operations. Before leaving Amgen, Nidia occupied an Executive Director position and was a member of Amgen Quality Leadership team. In April 2022, Nidia joined Eli Lilly and Company. She currently holds the position of Senior Vice-President, Global Quality Compliance. In this capacity she is responsible for senior leadership of Lilly’s Quality Management System, External Engagement & Advocacy, Data Integrity/Data Management, Quality Transformation & Technology, and Auditing for Compliance cGxP requirements at the enterprise level.
