Jeremy Balster Takeda

Hello, my name is Jeremy Balster. I started in the biopharmaceutical industry in 2016 as a quality control (QC) microbiology lab analyst. I have since progressed to a QC Microbiology Manager position. Over my career, I have had the privilege to work at a low bioburden drug substance start-up site in the Midwest, at a drug substance, drug product fill finish, cell therapy and enzyme replacement therapy site in California, and part time at a drug product fill finish site in Japan. Those opportunities have afforded me a diverse skillset including compendial and rapid microbiological method qualifications, laboratory computer system validation, Laboratory Instrument Management System (LIMS) implementation and administration (LabWare), environmental monitoring risk assessment and environmental monitoring performance qualification (EMPQ) implementation, critical utility qualification (compressed air, process gas, clean steam, DI and WFI), and aseptic process simulation (media fill) program implementation in a cell therapy process. Outside of work I enjoy fishing, hiking, camping, golfing, hockey (Go Wild), and spending time with my wife, family, and friends.
