Kevin Turney, PhD SiO2 Medical Products

Senior Applications Development Scientist at SiO2 Medical Products, responsible for technical evaluation and implementation of plasma coated parentaral containers. He coordinates customer development activities through internal and external scientific resources. Prior to joining SiO2 Medical Products he was a Senior Scientist within R&D at Amgen, where he was Group Leader for Structure Elucidation. His role focused on the identification, purification, and full characterization of impurities related to API, DP, excipients, and stability concerns. His group was called upon to be involved in GMP analysis, regulatory submissions (INDs, NDAs), and many technical assessments related to analytical characterization needs. Before Amgen, Dr. Turney worked at JNJ's medical device company Cordis Corporation. As a Senior Scientist within the Worldwide Technical Operations Group his responsibilities included global packaging and labeling initiatives to increase shelf-life of Cordis products. Dr. Turney has a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Florida.
