Miranda graduated in 2002 with a B.S. in Microbiology and minors in Chemistry and Women's Studies from North Dakota State University. Her PhD in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology was completed in 2010 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Miranda has a passion for mentoring laboratory colleagues, implementing quality improvements and Right-First-Time practices, and participating in tech transfer exercises where she works within collaborative, cross-disciplinary teams. In her spare time, Miranda is learning Spanish and training to run a half marathon.
