Moritz Bennecke, PhD Genentech

Moritz Bennecke is a Priciple Scientist in Technical Development of Biologics at Genentech in South San Francisco. Within the Purifcation Department Moritz is a responsible expert for virus safety related topics and projects . Until 2019 Moritz first worked as a Senior Sciensist at Roche Penzberg, Germany in early Research and Development of Large Molecules, and later as a Group Lead in Bioprocessing and Downstream Process Development. In that role he was also leading all virus clearance validation related activities. Before his career in the Pharma Industry Moritz completed a PostDoc in Systems Biology at the LMU Gene Center, Munich. Moritz holds a PhD in Molecular Medicine from the Technical University of Munich, Germany..
