Robert Hertel Sartorius AG

Dr Robert Hertel is Senior Scientist in the PCR & Microbiology Application Development Team at Sartorius and is involved in developing PCR products and applications. Robert Hertel holds a master’s degree in Biology (Germany 2010) and a PhD in Microbiology (2015) from the Georg-August-University of Göttingen. During his professional training and subsequent research, he gained experience working with various microorganisms, including human pathogens such as Mycoplasma, Vibrio and Bacillus. He investigated them using classical, molecular biology and genomic techniques. Since July 2022, Robert has joined Sartorius as a scientist in the PCR & Microbiology team, supporting research and development.
