Gerald Gellermann, PhD Novartis

Gerald currently holds a position as Senior Fellow and Project Leader in Analytical Development at Novartis. He is leading the implementation of enhanced / QbD approaches to biopharmaceutical CMC development in Novartis Biologics Technical Development and Manufacturing. Prior to joining Novartis in 2015, he was working at Roche where he was the analytical lead for Gazyva, the first biotech product with an approved design space.

Before joining Roche in 2008, he had gained professional experience as a scientist in neuroscience research and later in the diagnostic division at Abbott. He is a Biologist by training and holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Jena (Germany).
