Sebastian Schmitz is responsible for the practical application of the Industrie 4.0 Maturity Index and accompanying services for customers in the manufacturing sector. Over the last two years, he has significantly contributed to the development of the Maturity Index; moreover, he has led a number of Industrie 4.0 projects with manufacturing companies from different sectors. Sebastian, who has a degree in Business Administration & Engineering: Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, was a project manager and a PhD student at FIR at RWTH Aachen University, with a focus on digital networking. He has gained project experience with companies such as Voss Automotive and Claas of America.
