Angela Qu, MD, PhD PAREXEL International

Angela is Director of Genomic Medicine at PAREXEL, leading therapeutic strategy development and analytical implementation in pharmacogenomics/biomarker studies and consulting on scientific due diligence evaluation across broad therapeutic areas.

Angela is an innovative scientific expert and team leader in Translational Research and Genomic Medicine. She has more than fifteen years of extensive experience working in pharmaceutical R&D across drug discovery and clinical development. Prior to joining PAREXEL, Angela served in increasingly senior roles in large pharma including GSK, P&G Pharmaceutical, where she has led many complex multi-omics, disease pathway modeling, and biomarker development projects across broad therapeutic areas. Angela also has extensive clinical development experience via serving as medical director to develop early phase clinical trials, monitor and assess safety, co-author and signoff study reports. In addition to invited book chapters and reviews, she has authored over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals for work in translating complex genomics and clinical data in precision medicine and accelerated therapy development.

Angela earned her PhD. with postdoctoral training in Biomedical Informatics from Columbia University and University of Cincinnati/Cincinnati Children's Hospital. She received medical degree with internal medicine training in China.
