Anne Munk Jespersen Novo Nordisk

Anne Munk Jespersen is currently working at Novo Nordisk A/S in Denmark as a specialist on reference standards and product monographs, both internally and externally.

She started her carrier in 1981 as Candidate Stipendiate at Carlsberg Research Laboratory working with fermentation, purification and characterization of a beer maturing enzyme. In 1986, she changed to Novo Nordisk A/S as Research Scientist in Development working with HPLC on human growth hormone and hGH reference standards, also preparing hGH monographs and international reference standards. During time ,additional products were added to the work area.

Anne is a past Member of the two USP expert committees: “Biologics & Biotechnology: Proteins and Polysaccharides” and “USP Reference standards expert committee".

In the 2010-2015 cycle, she was appointed vice chair of the USP “Biologics and Biotechnology Monographs 1 Expert Committee". In the current cycle, she is member of USP “Proteins Expert Committee (BIO2)” and “USP Joint Standard-Setting Subcommittee – Biologics (JS3-BIO)".

In 2016, she entered the Ph.Eur Expert Group 6 as an Expert and in 2017, she became a member of the Danish Medicines Agency’s Biology Committee and Pharmacopoeia Board.
