Christine Wurth, PhD F. Hoffmann - La Roche

Christine Wurth has a background in pharmaceutical sciences and received her Ph.D. in Applied Biosciences in 2000 from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich (Switzerland). After a postdoc in the Department of Chemistry at Princeton University (US), focusing on combinatorial approaches to probe the sequence determinants of protein aggregation and amyloidogenicity, she joined Roche in Basel, Switzerland in 2002 as a team manager and pharmaceutical project leader in Early Stage Formulation R&D. Since 2011 she is heading a Late Stage Formulation and Process Development group at Roche, responsible for pharmaceutical development of parenteral drug product formulations and manufacturing processes for late clinical phases and the market, and process transfers to commercial manufacturing sites.
