Corinne Miller, PhD MilliporeSigma

Corinne Miller, PhD, is a Scientist Fellow in Virology & Microbiological Sciences R&D at MilliporeSigma. She has 29 years experience in life sciences and bioprocessing. She leads teams in designing and conducting bacterial and viral clearance studies for sterilizing and virus filtration, virus inactivation technologies, microbial integrity testing for single-use and sterile connection and sampling technologies, bioburden assessment and sanitant/preservative efficacy for biotherapeutic processing. Her work supports product development, customer collaborations and development of continuous processing solutions. She also contributes to the bioprocessing industry by participation on an ASTM standards committee and peer-review for PDA publications. Her career began at Applied Biosystems conducting product development on assay and detection technologies for DNA sequencing, nucleic acid and protein detection, ELISA, cell-based gene expression and influenza drug resistance. She has worked on commercialization of instrument platforms for high throughput imaging and array-based surface plasmon resonance. She earned a BS in Microbiology from the Pennsylvania State University and a PhD in Cellular & Molecular Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
