Günter Jagschies, PhD GE Healthcare Life Sciences

Günter Jagschies is with GE Healthcare Life Sciences since 30 years and has held senior management positions in Sales, Marketing, and R&D with the BioProcess Division of the company. His current role is Senior Director Strategic Customer Relations working globally with industrial R&D collaborations and as an advisor for the GE Healthcare BioProcess R&D and Business team. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Münster, Germany.

Günter represents GE Healthcare in technical and business oriented meetings, conferences, and publications, related to the biopharmaceutical industry.
He is co-author of "Process Chromatography", a handbook for the biopharmaceutical industry which is currently being upgraded to become the "Handbook of Bioprocessing". Günter is co-editor and author of "The Development of Therapeutic Monoclonal Antibody Products", a comprehensive review and analysis of the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC) activities, economic conditions, and regulatory requirements for the development of therapeutic monoclonal antibody products.

Günter has published numerous papers on the development, manufacturing, and economics of biotherapeutics. In 2012 he received the BioProcess International Award as "Thought Leader of the Decade" in the Downstream Processing category. He is co-chairing the not-for-profit conference series BioProcessing Asia (BPA), which has run for the first time in Nov 2014. He has been appointed as one of three industry leaders to co-chair the next Recovery of Biologics conference to take place in 2016, the globally leading event in downstream processing science and engineering for biotherapeutics.
