Leon Klepzig, MSc. Clausthal University of Technology

Leon Klepzig studied chemical engineering with a focus on chemical processes at Clausthal University of Technology from October 2010 to the beginning of 2017. During his studies he absolved several internships, among others at Bayer AG and Thyssen Krupp.

His master thesis dealt with the modelling of filtration processes, in particular microfiltration.

He currently holds the position of a scientific assistant at the Institute for Separation and Process Technology. His research focuses on the development and intensification of distillation processes and on physic-chemical modeling of freeze drying.

The motivation of his research is to contribute to a faster process design by simulating freeze drying processes as well as intensifying the processes.
