Lutz Uharek, MD Charité Berlin

Professor Uharek is a haemato-oncologist and senior physician at the Clinic for Haematology, Oncology and Tumor-Immunology at the University Campus Charité Hospital, Berlin.

Dr. Uharek has many years of experience in attending to patients with difficult to treat and refractory leukemias and lymphomas. As an expert in the areas of stem cell transplantation and clinical cell therapy, as well as in his positions leading several scientific working groups and as Principle Investigator of Phase I and II clinical trials, he possesses vast knowledge regarding translational research and early clinical application of cellular immunotherapeutic substances.

Heading the Stem Cell Facility, under his guidance and responsibility, the formerly separate areas within the Charité were combined to one of the largest centers for Stem Cell Collection and Preparation of Cellular Therapies. His goal is to develop novel cellular therapeutic methods for the treatment of tumor deseases.
