Nick Chute Merck

Nick is a motivated pharmaceutical professional with experience in drug substance and drug product startup and manufacturing. Nick joined Eli Lilly and Company in 2016 as an engineer working on a formulation and filling expansion project in Augusta, GA where he developed skills in sterile manufacturing and visual inspection. In 2018, Nick joined the sterile filling team at Merck in Elkton, VA where he took on the role of the visual inspection and aseptic process simulation lead. In his current role Nick supports the startup and commissioning of drug substance manufacturing operations. In addition to his operational responsibilities, Nick is developing a fermentation training curriculum with Merck’s training facility and is the Global Operations Lead for Merck’s Next Generation Network Employee Business Resource Group. Nick graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with degrees in chemical engineering and economics in 2016. Outside of work Nick enjoys cycling, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.
