Robin Ross, PhD Mango Inc

Robin Ross, Ph.D., Mango, Inc.’s Head of Research, is a classically trained microbiologist with more than thirty years of expertise in microbial growth systems and biomolecule production, driving biomanufacturing advances in fermentation, purification and analysis, and technology transfer. Her experience also includes the design and development of in vitro growth systems to test novel small molecules, large molecule therapeutics, and diagnostic systems for J&J, Glaxo, Pfizer, and Abbott. As a biological engineer with a distinguished career at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School and as a consultant to the biopharma industry, she has led efforts to develop innovative platforms for antimicrobial therapies and vaccines and to advance novel therapeutics against emerging infectious diseases. Dr. Ross remains dedicated to the translation of basic science into treatments for patients.

Dr. Ross earned her B.S. in Biology at Syracuse University, her Ph.D. in Microbiology at the University of New Hampshire, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School in the field of Infectious Disease Microbiology. She is a current member of several industry organizations and an Ad Hoc Reviewer for multiple industry journals.
